Here it is important to understand that the table will be in most cases outside, without any protection. Therefore, for its safety and service life, it is necessary to observe a special technology of its manufacture.

We prepare the tool and timber

Before you start work, you need to take care that everything is at hand - both the tool and all the necessary material. This will significantly save time. So, you need the following tool:

  • A circular saw.
  • Electric jigsaw.
  • Drill with a set of drills.
  • Sander.
  • Screwdriver.
  • Hammer.
  • Brush.
  • Carob keys.
  • Building Corner.
  • Stameska.
  • Marker or pencil.
  • Roulette.

These are, perhaps, the basic tools and items that you need. In the course of the work, you may need something else. However, if you have assembled the main tool, the work will not be delayed for sure.

So, as for the building material, here, to a greater degree, everything will depend on the size and type of the table. But in principle, the same material is almost always needed, for example:

  • Lumber. It is possible to prepare 11 boards four meters long. Their thickness can be 50 mm and width 100 mm. In addition, you can also prepare a few boards with a length of six meters.
  • Furniture galvanized bolts, as well as washers and nuts will be used as fasteners.
  • Moreover, you will need nails, the size of which should be 3.5 × 90 mm, and screws, which must be selected according to the thickness of the board.
  • Effective remedy for bioprotection of wooden preparations.

Getting Started

The tabletop can be made of five boards, which are cut to a given size. They are attached to the bar with screws.

The length of the screws must be such that it can be securely fastened to the board table to the bar. However, they do not have to go through.

If you use a tongue-and-groove board for the tabletop, then the result will be a solid plane. The edge of the board can be cut with a jigsaw, and the sides can be processed with a planer. If you use a planed board, it is recommended to leave a gap of 4 mm when assembling the tabletop. It will not interfere, but it will ease care for him. In this case, it is extremely important that each gap has the same width. To achieve this is very simple. During the assembly between the boards should be laid rail of the required width, and as an alternative, you can use the building area. If necessary, the surface and sidewall of the tabletop can be machined with a grinding machine. So you can achieve a perfectly smooth surface.

We make and fasten legs

Depending on the type of table should begin to prepare the legs. One of the consequences of improperly made legs is the swinging table. To prevent this from happening to you, each piece must be completely identical in size to the other. There are options for a garden table on three legs. The standard version is four legs that are attached at every angle. When installing them, you can use bolts or special fasteners that will hold the entire structure. When assembling them, the docking sites can be coated with PVA glue, which will additionally protect against rocking.

When the table is ready, it needs to be painted for additional corrosion protection. First, the tree can be painted over in several layers of paint, and after covering the table with several layers of water-based varnish, it is advisable to use acrylic. This will provide additional protection from moisture and moisture.
