Such a structure of the profiled sheet protects the metal surface from contact with the liquid, preventing the appearance of corrosion centers. Note! The peculiarity of working with profiled sheeting is that its polymeric coating is extremely susceptible to high temperatures. It quickly burns out, exposing the metal, not resistant to corrosion. Therefore, processing, cutting and installation of corrugated sheets are performed only by the cold method.

The Bulgarian is the popular name for an angle grinder, which in Soviet times was imported mainly from friendly Bulgaria. This versatile tool has many uses, including it is used to cut decking. With the help of the grinder, you can quickly cut a large amount of material, professional craftsmen perform cutting in batches. However, this method has 3 significant drawbacks:
- Angle grinder is an abrasive tool, so when cutting a professional flooring inevitably there will be minor damage, chips and other defects that impair the corrosion resistance of the material.
- When performing a sharp, even if you use a special disc, metal particles of a high temperature fly out, which burn through the polymeric coating of a professional flooring.
- Diamond and special metal discs during cutting leave uneven, torn edges at the work site, which need to be further processed.
Note! To cut a professional flooring grinder, you need to buy a special disc for cutting profiled flooring. It has a small thickness of up to 1.6 mm and teeth made of carbide materials.
To protect the edges of the cut from the appearance of corrosion after treatment with grinders, they are treated with a special primer or paint.
Metal cutter
Most professional craftsmen use a special hacksaw for cutting professional flooring. It is in the arsenal of any builder, and cutting blades are quite inexpensive. In addition, when performing work with a hacksaw, much less noise is generated. This method is popular because it has the following advantages:
- The edges of the cut are even, without chips and burrs, so they do not need additional processing and protective coating.
- Cutting is performed quickly, neatly, without the use of large physical force. With the help of a hacksaw, it is possible to independently cut sheets into size for the manufacture of a small fence or roof.
- For this method of cutting does not require complex tools, it can be used even in the absence of electricity.
Important! With a hacksaw, it is convenient to cut in a straight line. It is almost impossible to make curved cuts with this simple tool, scissors are better suited for them.

Professional roofing masters use scissors for metal as an additional tool when working with decking. They cut this material well across the wave, but for cutting along the profile they are practically not used, since the flexibility of the profiled sheet in this direction is extremely low.

Jigsaw cutting is faster than scissors or a hacksaw, but slower than a grinder. This tool has disadvantages:
- It is suitable not for all brands of a professional flooring. Using the jigsaw, you can cut the material if the wave height is from 25 mm.
- The jigsaw is not suitable for longitudinal cuts of great length, the work is long and inconvenient.
Note! When using a jigsaw, cutting is performed at high speeds, due to which the polymer coating on the edges of the incision burns out, exposing the metal. To prevent the formation of corrosion in these places, the edges are treated with a special primer or paint.
