Features of devices for the retention of snow

Soft roofs differ in their properties from other types of roofing, therefore snow protectors for such flooring also have their own characteristics.
- Soft roof is arranged mainly on the roofs, the slopes of which do not exceed 15 ?. This fact suggests that avalanches from the skates are unlikely. Therefore, devices are installed, which, as a rule, do not differ in special power.
- In addition, soft roof is different from the metal in that its surface has a significant roughness. Due to this, the risk of snow slipping is minimized.
- The construction of such a roof involves the installation of a solid-type lathing device, which means that it is perfectly suitable for fixing the elements of the snow guard.
Tubular and trellised constructions

For soft roofing rarely, but still used tubular snow guard. This snow stop consists of two pipes with a diameter of up to 3 cm, which are inserted into the brackets.
- The height of the construction reaches 0.15 m.
- The bracket has the form of a vertically directed plate with holes into which the tubulars enter.
- At the bottom of the bracket is equipped with a special shelf, with which the installation and fixation to the roof surface. Fastening is carried out with metal screws with a head on six sides and a size of 8 × 60 mm.
- In this case, a special design bracket is used, which differs from the product for another type of coating.
- The installation method also has its own individual features.
The strength of the tubular device is characterized by the distance of the lower pipe from the roof surface, which, as a rule, reaches up to 30 mm. At the same time, the distance between the pipes should be about 100 mm.
Note! Snow pipe arrestors are used for roofs, the slopes of which have a slope of up to 60 ?. With such large slopes, the snow creates a lot of pressure on the snow holders, and it crawls quite often. On steeper roofs, the installation of such devices is not provided, since the snow does not linger there, but immediately crumbles.
Tubular devices belong to the snow cutters, as they are designed to separate the layer of snow into several parts. These snow holders are considered to be fairly reliable and withstand heavy snow pressure, so they are often used. They are used not only for soft roofing, but also for sheet materials and natural tile. Tubular devices can be mounted around the entire contour of the roof, selectively in hazardous areas. Their installation is not a point, but in one row. If the pressure from the snow cover is significant, it is possible to install structures in two rows up to 3 m apart. Fixing the lower structures occurs above the bearing walls or indented from the edge of the eaves overhang at a distance of 0.5 m. Since the color of the pipes can be matched to the tone of the roof, the structures are practically not highlighted. As a rule, pipes are made from galvanized metal with paint applied to them in accordance with the color of the roof, which allows them to be used for a long time.

The lattice structures resemble tubular ones, but instead of pipes, rectangular plates with holes are fixed, thanks to which melt water flows. The type of lattice snow guard is selected depending on the type of roof and its construction.

Rope snow holders or snow-stoppers hooks, due to their design, cannot physically hold large masses of snow. They are rather additional elements to tubular and lattice structures. Also hooks well are suitable for a roof in which slopes have a small bias.
- Since the soft roof is rough, the snow independently engages the granules with which the material is sprinkled. This fully applies to roofing felt or shingles. In addition, a small risk of snow and contributes to a small slope of the roof. But still installation is carried out in a particular case. The best fit are the snowboard holders, which are dotted on the roof, and in a staggered manner. The distances between the hooks and snow stops should not exceed 0.7 m.
- Bows have their own characteristic, which is that they need to be mounted simultaneously with the roof device. They have the shape of a triangle, from which the long mounting plate extends. This part hides under the roofing material and is fixed to the crate. To prevent leaks at the attachment point, the fixing plate is covered with shingles.

Lamellar snegozaderzhateli also called corner. They are mounted on the roofs, which are covered with flat metal materials - galvanized sheets or euro tile. These snow delays are effective on a soft roof in case of low snow pressure, and the slope of the slopes should not exceed 30 ?.

Installation

The set of tubular structures usually includes fasteners. Tubular fixtures are fixed to the crate through the roofing material. Mounts are between themselves at a distance of 0.6 to 1.1 m along the contour of the supporting walls. The places of the holes, which are obtained by fixing the screws, compacted with rubber bands.
Also often used bows or snow stops. It is better to install them simultaneously with the roofing work. The yoke is screwed to the crate, and in order to hide the fixing point, another sheet of roofing material is placed on top.
