The device of a heat-insulated floor allows to distribute effectively temperature in the room and provides a comfortable indicator of 24–26 ° at the level of legs. The big advantage of such a heating system of the room is the secrecy of accommodation. Heating elements do not spoil the interior of the room, because they are mounted under the floor covering. Laying film underfloor heating under the laminate is quite simple, you need to study the sequence of the process and follow the technology and recommendations of manufacturers.

Laminate selection

Not every type of laminate is suitable as a floor covering. Conventional low grade panels may shrink and become deformed due to heat. An important indicator is the number of formaldehyde resins in the base of the lamella. It is necessary to buy material recommended by the manufacturer for installation on a warm electric floor. It has a characteristic marking and the inscription "Warm Wasser".

Note! The minimum amount of harmful substances contains laminate of class E1 and E0.

Why it is worth choosing film system of a heat-insulated floor?

Work begins with the preparation of the base, so you should ensure that there is no height difference of more than 3 mm. When detecting cracks and irregularities, they are eliminated and smeared with a solution. Dry floor is thoroughly cleaned from debris and dust, preferably with a construction vacuum cleaner.

Before you make an electric floor, you must draw up a layout of film tapes.

Note! If the system is the main source of heating, it is necessary to close up to 75% of the surface; if this is an addition to radiators, it is enough to cover 50% of the area.

Under massive pieces of furniture to lay the film unprofitable, you can leave these places empty. Special lines for cutting are marked on the strips.

In order to reduce the temperature loss, a layer of heat-insulating material covered with propylene film or metallized foil is placed under the film floor. The canvas is placed reflective side up. Between themselves, the parts of the body insulation material are bonded with metallic tape.

The place for the thermostat should be chosen near the wiring, at a level of 15–20 cm from the floor. This device automatically turns the system on and off, acting on the programmed temperature readings. Having chosen the place for the hidden installation of the thermostat, the thermal film is laid according to the scheme.

Assembling infrared film heating and installing a thermostat

The work will require simple tools:

• construction knife;
• passages;
• scissors;
• screwdriver.

For laying the first row, it is necessary to retreat from the wall of 10 cm. The edges of the film are taped to the base and between adjacent strips with tape to avoid material movement. The tapes are guided down by the copper contact. There is a special bitumen insulation in the floor heating set; after cutting the strips, it closes the copper bus with a silver contact.

Note! Clips are fastened along the edges of the copper busbars, for a snug fit they are pressed against the pliers. Bare wires are inserted into the clamp and securely fixed. The connection points on both sides are closed with bitumen mastic plates. Fixing the insulation, you should capture the entire surface of the cut copper bus.

The temperature sensor is obtained in the purchased kit, it must be fixed on the thermal film from the inside with an insulating plate. So that it does not create unevenness, a hole is cut in the insulating material. Under the wires are also cut areas in the enclosed canvas, this will ensure uniform finish. The wires laid in deepening, are closed an adhesive tape.

In the intended place on the wall is installed thermostat. Wires of the thermal sensor, contacts of a heat-insulated floor and food from a network are connected to plugs. Installation locations are determined according to the scheme attached to the device.

System testing

Before laying laminated panels it is necessary to check the operation of the film floor. Each band is monitored for the absence of sparking and overheating. With a satisfactory test result, they proceed to the installation of additional protection for a heated floor. Waterproofing material is spread along the entire thermal film. Instead of polyethylene, you can buy a special substrate, but its price is much higher.

Laying laminate

Starting installation of laminated panels, do not forget to retreat 1 cm from the wall when laying the first row. The same distance should remain on all sides of the laid laminate. The sides of the coating are joined first, and then the whole strips are joined together. To easily snap the panel locks, they are positioned at an angle.

Note! After laying the laminate on the entire surface of the floor is fixed plinth. To output the wires, a hole is cut in it. Carefully lay the panels so as not to damage the heating film.
