• If you have to level the floor, he can climb more than the expected 1.5-3 mm.
• Not everyone can cope with the connection of the heating contact, so it is better to entrust this work to a qualified specialist.

Note! It is not allowed to install furniture on the infrared floor. Otherwise, deformation and darkening of the coating may occur in these areas. This may break the film.

Rod ir floor

Flexible electric rods, which are placed on the insulating layer, act as a core infrared floor. This heating method is often used for flooring such as porcelain stoneware and tile. Such heating is made mainly in bathrooms, kitchens and hallways.

Here are some advantages of rod infrared heating:

• Safety for wet rooms.
• Rod heating system can be poured with a coupler.
• It has the function of temperature self-regulation. Therefore, the installation of furniture is allowed on top of such heating.
• Easy installation and maintenance.
• Heating of the floor is carried out in a short period of time.

Such heating and disadvantages are not without:

• The high cost, though, according to many reviews, practically does not exceed the film infrared floor.
• If the floor will warm for 24 hours, then the consumption of 1 m² will be 35 KW for 30 days. This is too much expense.
• Cannot be used as the main source of heat in a residential area.
• Often the wire burns out. Because of this, the floors have to disassemble.

What to choose

The first choice should be made, starting from the power of the infrared floor. If the laying of the heating will be performed in the apartment, the power should be in the region of 150-200 W / m². For country houses, for example, for loggia insulation - 200-220 W / m².

Note! The film thickness should be 0.3-0.4 mm. Silver paste should be on the copper lines and at the junction of the carbon band.

Also, the choice depends on the flooring used. If you are planning to lay tiles on the floor, then, of course, you need a rod infrared floor.
