Fence

Buying a country plot, you need to take care of a lot, at least to start with the fact that you want to build a fence, isolate yourself from the outside world. Many people prefer to overpay and hire workers for this process, doubting their abilities is not quite the right option. After all, it is not known how the workers will do it, how long such a fence will serve, and the amount will be rather big.

Decking is perfect for building fences

Build yourself

That is why we offer you to build a fence made of corrugated flooring with brick columns with your own hands. In order to make it easier to study this process, all stages will be divided into several sections. Do not miss one of them, even if you know what it is about.

Purchase of tools

For the construction of a corrugated fence, first of all, you need to prepare all the materials and tools that are required for the workflow:

  • Capacity for cement mortar. An excellent option is an electric concrete mixer.
  • Drill with a nozzle mixer.
  • Master OK.
  • Putty knife.
  • Hammer or kyivanka.
  • Screwdriver.
  • Building level.

Note! It is also useful string, with which it is easy to check the horizontal and vertical line of the fence.

  • Cement with sand for solution.
  • Bricks facing.

Choose from dozens of different options.

  • Metal corner for fixing corrugated.
  • Metal pipe for vertical pillars.
  • Sheets profiled.
  • Metal rods with a diameter of not more than 10 mm.
  • Screws for metal.

Best of all, when screws with rubberized washer

Note! The metal profile can be replaced with wooden bars, the price is much lower. However, there is a flaw in the tree - fragility. It easily deteriorates due to the abundant moisture: rain and snow.

Preparation area

How to build a fence of corrugated their own hands? So, everything is in order.

Before you build brick posts for the fence of corrugated board, it is necessary to make grooves in the ground.

  • The first thing is measured distance spans. To do this, it is necessary to measure a sheet of corrugated flooring, as the dimensions may vary.
  • Stretch the string from one corner of the plot to another so that there is a flat line.
  • Mark on the ground those places where the pillars will be installed.
  • Dig holes in the ground about 1 meter.

Note! If the spans are obtained 3 meters and more, then it is necessary to install an additional metal support in the center. In these places it is enough to dig 50-60 cm.

To increase reliability, you can lay a strip foundation between the pillars:

  • To do this, it is necessary to dig a trench about 40 cm deep and not more than 20 cm wide.
  • Then install the formwork using old boards. Best of all, chipboard boards or plywood, which is most easily cut to size, are best.
  • Small pieces of reinforcement are driven into the excavated trench. The distance between the vertical pins should be no more than 800 mm.
  • Using welding or wire, all rods are connected by horizontal reinforcement.
  • It now remains to fill the hollows with sand and rubble, carefully tamping it.

Do not forget about the possibility of a base blur, it should be made as durable as possible, because the durability of the future fence depends on it.

Fill the solution

You do not know how to prepare high-quality concrete for the construction of the fence of corrugated board? This instruction will help you:

  • First of all, fill the tank with water.
  • Then add cement (it is better to use the M400 or M500 brand). The ratio is approximately the following: for one kg of cement about 700 ml of water.
  • Now we fall asleep sand in the ratio 3 to 1.
  • Crushed stone is laid at the rate of 6 to 1.

Tip! Use a plasticizer, it does not require much (less than 1% of the total mass), but it significantly increases the strength of concrete.

  • Now we mix everything up until the contents turn into a homogeneous mass.
  • Using a bucket or any other tool, fill the dug recesses with liquid concrete.

Features of the process:

  • Trenches are not poured to the very top, so that they can be hidden under the ground.
  • The solution dries for about 15-20 days. For reliability, wet the surface of the concrete with water every few days.

We build pillars

Work begins from the corner, it is easier to measure the vertical level of the structure.

  • At the place where there will be a pillar (hardened concrete), with the help of a trowel cement-sand mixture is laid out.
  • Then the brick is put and the mallet knocks.
  • Cement is also poured into the cavity between the blocks.
  • For the second row, all actions are similar, except for the brick positions. For reliability, use stacked in staggered order.

Important! Watch the vertical level of the pillar and be sure to fill all voids with a solution.

Any vertical pole must be measured by level.

Auxiliary metal posts are much easier to install:

  • First, you must attach two metal corners to the pole.
  • Install the pipe into the recess of the trench and fasten the dowel to the concrete.
  • Pour cement circle around a column with a diameter of 10-15 cm for reliability.

Without additional cementing

Do not forget to check the vertical plane.

Installation of horizontal jumpers

Fences made of corrugated flooring with brick pillars will last for a long time if the sequence and phased process are observed:

  • Metal corners are attached to the finished brick pillars. Dowel is better to use 70 mm.
  • Spans are interconnected by pipes or channel.

Note! There is another option for installing crossbars. To do this, during the brick clak, metal plates are laid between the rows to which the pipes are welded after work is completed.

Installation of flooring

  • Applies a sheet of material to fixed metal lintels.
  • Using a screwdriver and a hex head, we twist the metal screws into the places where there is a support. See how it looks in the photo.

Please note - the screw must be screwed in without any curvature

  • The height from the ground is chosen arbitrary, the main thing - do not forget about the possible shrinkage of the pillars.
  • Screws should be screwed every 5-10 cm to avoid loosening the mountings from strong winds.
  • The optimum height between the corrugated floor and the ground is at least 5 cm. If necessary, you can cover the space with a plastic mesh.
  • Vertical metal poles are best fastened by welding, this method is considered the most reliable.
  • Use only galvanized stainless steel fasteners.

Conclusion

We have tried to tell you what you need to build a fence. As you can see, the main difficulty lies only in the acquisition of materials and tools. All stages were sequentially placed in sections.
