On sale for a long time you can find special mortise locks for gates from corrugated board. They differ in the minimum width and are intended for installation in a profiled pipe with a size of 40x40 millimeters.

This narrow-profile lock is designed for a professional pipe with a size of 40x50 mm.

Lock insert is simple and does not require the use of welding.

• After marking at the end of the gate, a groove for the body is selected. The grinder makes two vertical cuts and one more - on the diagonal of the future rectangle; then the resulting triangles are bent out and cut off. The edges are aligned with the file.
• In the side surfaces of the drill are drilled holes for the screws and core.
• For marking the mate of the castle, you can use a little trick. Smear the crossbar with toothpaste, putty, or any other colored thick substance. Then, with the gate closed, turn the key - and on the pole there will be a clear imprint of the place where the groove should be.
