Fence

Decorative fence of concrete sections.

The fashion for country houses today is easily explained. The desire to leave the gassed and noisy city on the nature, where there is clean air and tranquility, is visited by many modern residents of megalopolises. And in order to designate the boundaries of your territory and feel secure in a country house, you need to establish a strong and reliable fence.

Modern fencing should be not only strong, but also have excellent appearance, able to emphasize the excellent style of the owner of the house. Another requirement is durability. And with all this, such a hedge should have an acceptable price. Is it possible? Yes, if you choose a sectional reinforced concrete fence.

Modern concrete fences

Stone fences of reinforced concrete are among the most popular today. They are used both for private houses and for protected objects (factories, construction sites, etc.). The strength of such structures gives the metal base, which is hidden under a thick layer of concrete. Thus, it turns out very strong and durable fence.

Kinds

Modern sectional reinforced concrete structures are of two types:

  1. Decorative or typesetting, sections of which are narrow long blocks, measuring 50 by 200 cm and installed between each other on each other, forming a continuous web. Due to the division into horizontal elements, you can combine different blocks, getting the original picture (as in the photo below).

The fence, each section of which consists of four horizontal elements forming a pattern.

This sectional separation is useful not only in the selection of the figure, but also creates the convenience of transportation and installation. Thus, each horizontal element weighs on average 55-70 kg and can be easily mounted by two or three workers.

  1. Self-standing stone fences. Such fences cannot boast a particularly attractive appearance, since their purpose is to protect the site from physical intrusion. Therefore, most often such fences are used on construction and protected objects.

Noteworthy is the installation feature. Thus, the installation of such sections is very simple, but you cannot install them yourself without using special equipment, since the weight of one element reaches 2 tons. As a result, such fences do not require laying the foundation or any special installation, as they are held in a vertical position under their own weight. Hence their name.

Подвиды

There are two types of construction of such fences:

  • Sections are installed without any additional elements.
  • Sections are installed on the so-called glasses, which are supports for the design. This installation option is more versatile, since it allows for some unevenness in the soil, the first one is suitable only for flat areas.

Assembly work

Since it is impossible to install self-standing sectional concrete fences without a crane, and the instruction is simply not needed here, we will consider the installation of decorative enclosures.

The design of such a concrete fence consists of two elements:

  1. sections,
  2. pillars.

All sections, regardless of model, have the same dimensions and do not differ in any structural features. The pillars, in turn, can be either integral or combined. And that is what determines the differences in installation.

We will consider both options, but first - more simple.

  1. Preparatory stage. Mark the territory according to the size of a single element whose length is 200 cm.

Tip! To facilitate the work, cut a wooden bar with a length of 200 cm and mark it with it. Measure the distance exactly into the groove.

  1. Begin installation with the installation of the corner post. Dig a hole about 70 cm deep, level it and fix with wooden supports. Make sure the pillar is vertically installed and concreted.

Installation of the corner post.

  1. Install the second pillar by the same method.
  2. Given the weight of one element of the fence, determine the required number assistants to install it.

Совет! Не следует устанавливать сразу более одной-двух sections, что может повлечь за собой перекос конструкции. Выстраивать такой забор следует постепенно, наподобие кирпичной кладки.

  1. Repeat all the steps above. until you complete the installation of the fence.

Sectional concrete fences on precast pillars are installed as follows:

  • Dig a hole 50 cm deep, prepare the base for the post. The width of such a pit should correspond to a block of + 5 cm on each side.
  • Install in the pit reinforcement f 10-12 mm, the length of the fence height + its underground part.
  • Level the reinforcement and concreted.
  • Install the first pillar element by concreting free space in it.
  • Set the next level and thus line up the whole pole.

  • Mount the second pillar.
  • Set between the pillars section. Do the same with all the pillars.

Tip! Upon completion of the work you need to install concrete pommel on the pole. It will protect the cement inside the pillar from being washed out by the rain.

Conclusion

Reinforced concrete fences are today one of the strongest protective structures. In addition, you can easily install such a fence on your site. And, despite the refined and even majestic appearance, this type of fences is characterized by a relatively low cost, which is why any citizen of the CIS countries can afford such a fence.
