One of the types of enclosing structures is a panel fence. At the same time for the construction of such fencing can be used a variety of elements, ranging from sections of welded mesh and ending with reinforced concrete slabs.

The most common, and at the same time, the cheapest option is welded mesh panel fencing.

They are used as an alternative to wrought iron fences, and have a fairly wide range of applications.

• The basis of such a fence is a grid of galvanized steel rods, interconnected by welding method. The thickness of the rod can be different, but the most commonly used blanks are from 3 to 5 mm thick.
• The rods are welded by spot welding at the intersection.
• To provide each section of a metal fence with mechanical strength, a horizontal V-shaped bend is sometimes added in the top or middle part (in the photo).

• Over the zinc layer on the grid is applied polymer coating. It not only protects the steel base from corrosion when exposed to precipitation, but also gives the fence sections an attractive appearance.
• Welded panels are mounted on vertical supports from a shaped pipe, which, like the net itself, are subjected to anti-corrosion treatment. Support columns can either be concreted in the ground, or (if the fence is installed on asphalt or concrete), they can be fixed with the help of anchors and a special bracket.

Concrete Fence

The second most popular type of panel fencing are concrete fences.

They are quite common, and therefore we confine ourselves to a description of their main types:

Self-standing slabs

• Self fencing - installed on special supports, which are an integral part of the plates themselves. There is no need to carry out preparatory earthworks, and the fence can be assembled in a few hours.
• Fence "on the glasses." The design of this type of concrete modular enclosures includes special hollow pedestals - the very “glasses”. The bollard is placed on a flat surface, after which a support pole is inserted into its opening.

• Hedges on pillars. Installing a fence made of reinforced concrete panels using this technology is the most time-consuming since the plates are attached to poles embedded in the soil to a depth of several dozens of sentiments. At the same time, this design is much more reliable than the previous ones.

The main advantage of these structures is the highest mechanical strength. The disadvantages include an unattractive appearance and considerable labor costs during installation.

Another type of panel-type fencing are sandwich panel fences. Besides the fact that they have excellent protective characteristics, these designs also perfectly isolate the fenced area from loud noise.

The operational characteristics largely depend on the type of fence and the material from which its sections are made. But a wide range makes it possible to choose - and this is also an undeniable advantage of prefabricated structures.

Panel fence is an excellent solution in the case when you need to build a fence with minimal time costs. But at the same time, in terms of their characteristics, these structures are almost as good as fences of other varieties.
