Fence

Reinforced concrete fence has an attractive appearance and is a reliable fence.

Nowadays, many residents of large and noisy cities prefer to relax in country houses, where fresh air, harmony with nature and an atmosphere of calm allow you to escape from the hustle and everyday problems. And in order to feel comfortable in the country, you need to protect your site with a reliable fence. And the installation of a concrete fence in this case is a worthy option.

Reinforced concrete fences are reliable, strong and durable. At the same time, they are very beautiful and easy to install, and the price of such structures will please everyone who wants to save money. Due to the fact that this material has such high performance, the installation of reinforced concrete fences interests many home craftsmen these days. We will talk about this in this article.

About iron

Reinforced concrete is a durable building material that was originally used in the construction of buildings. Nowadays, reinforced concrete fences are very popular, which are used both for fencing of private properties and protected objects, for example, construction sites, factories or parking lots.

And if in the first case we are talking about decorative fences, then for protected objects they use massive slabs, which can neither be installed nor dismantled without the use of special equipment.

Self-contained concrete fence.

The structure of the reinforced concrete slab is very simple. It consists of a metal frame, poured into solid concrete. The frame holds the concrete base from destruction, giving the structure durability and resistance to environmental conditions.

Installation Features

Installing a fence made of concrete slabs is a simple process that you will probably master with your own hands. The only thing you need to attract one or two assistants for mounting the sections themselves, since the weight of the standard section of the inlaid fence reaches 70 kg.

If we talk about self-sustaining slabs, here the weight of one element can reach 2 tons, and you will need a crane to install a concrete goods fence. But such options are very rarely considered during the construction of fences for private houses, because they have an unattractive appearance.

We will consider the installation of a decorative or type-setting reinforced concrete fence, each section of which consists of 3-5 horizontal plates that fit each other (assembled), fixing themselves in special pillar grooves.

Schematic instructions for installing the fence.

Decorative fences of reinforced concrete have standard panels, whose dimensions are 50 by 200 cm.

Installation Features секций различных производителей одинаковы, значительные конструктивные отличия присутствуют лишь в установке столбов, которые бывают двух видов:

  • Integral.
  • National teams.

Installation of prefabricated structures is more time consuming, because first we consider a simpler version with integral supports.

In order to properly establish such a construction, there is a simple instruction:

Solid supports

  • Installation of reinforced concrete fence begins with the preparatory stage, that is, marking the territory. Among other things, it will allow you to determine the required amount of materials.

Tip! For ease of marking, cut a two-meter bar out of wood, measuring the distance with it. Remember that measurements should be made exactly in the groove. Otherwise, the section may not fit between the supports or not be held onto them and fall out.

  • Start the installation of a concrete panel fence from the corner post.

Concrete pole.

Dig a hole in the intended place. It is recommended that the pillar go to the ground at least a third. That is, the supports of the two-meter fence should go into the ground to a depth of 1 meter. For a standard hedge, as a rule, 70 cm depth is enough.

  •  Level up the leveling point and secure it with wooden struts.
  • Concrete post as in the photo above.
  • Do all of the above operations with the second pillar.
  • Now go to the installation section. Given its weight, you should think about the assistant. Installation of the element is very simple - you just need to install it in the grooves of the installed supports.

Tip! Do not install more than two sections at once between two columns. Build a fence gradually, it will eliminate the distortion of the structure.

  • Having reached the corner, you should closely mount the two supports, perpendicular to each other.
  • Repeating the above steps, complete the design of the fence.

Precast supports

The installation instructions for fencing on modular supports are slightly different from the previous one and include the following steps:

  • Installation of concrete fences in this case involves the construction of the base for the post. To do this, you should dig a hole 50 cm deep, which should be 50 mm wider than a block of a pole on each side.
  • Install in the pit reinforcement f 10-12, the length of the fence height + its underground part.
  • Level the reinforcement and concrete the pit.
  • At the base, install the first section of the pillar, having concreted the free space.
  • Mount the next element, thus building a support.

Tip! Concrete each section of the column separately, so that the solution will spread throughout the cavity of the support.

  • Collect the second support in the same way.
  • Next is the installation of sections, which does not differ from the above method.

Installation of sections on precast pillars.

Tip! Upon completion of work should be installed on the pillar concrete cover. It will protect it from leaching of the solution, extending the life of the support, and hence the entire fence.

Conclusion

In this article, you learned how to properly install a concrete fence yourself. As you can see, in reality, this is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. Watch the video in this article to better understand the process of installation of reinforced concrete structures.
