There are the following types and brands of this material:

Profiled carrier. One of the main characteristics of profiled sheet is its strength factor. This type of profiled sheeting has a maximum ratio of 60, 75 and 100 units. This indicator is laid in the marking of professional flooring - ПН60, ПН75, ПН100 and ПК60, ПК75, ПК100. Such professional flooring - the most suitable for fences.

Roof decking. Widely used for insulation and roofing. It is labeled PC60, PC45, PC35, PC20.

Wall decking. This corrugated flooring has a low coefficient of strength, therefore its scope of application, in addition to the ordinary enclosing temporary construction fences, is wall cladding. Marking of wall sheeting: PS20, PS15, PS10, PS8. Often the professional flooring of this brand is designated by one letter "C". So, what we see everywhere “on the streets” has the mark C20.

Ceiling profiled. Has found wide application, in view of low cost and speed of installation, in finishing of ceilings of industrial facilities. Marking has a fairly wide range: PP45, PP35, PP20, PP15, PP10, PP8. Attention! Often this type of profiled sheeting is simply denoted by one letter “P”.

Construction of a fence from a professional flooring

In addition to the professional characteristics - strength factor - the profile sheet has some more parameters by which you will choose it, having decided to build a fence from it:

First, the thickness of the corrugated fence. It is believed that the most suitable for fences is profiled with a thickness of at least 0.45 mm. Although on the market you can meet and decking with a thickness of from 0.30 to 0.60 mm. Sometimes there is also an indicator of 1.00 mm or more, but this is due to its next characteristic, the coating.

Secondly, sheet covering. A very important characteristic that promoted decking to the leading position as a roofing material. Among the possible methods of coating for corrosion protection:

Galvanized. A long-standing method of protection that remains relevant in the age of smartphones.
Galvanized aluminum. The use of cheap aluminum allows you to reduce the cost of the sheet, albeit with a loss of protective properties. It can not do without the application of a protective film of polyester.
Glossy Polyester. This type of coating, as well as 3 subsequent ones, is auxiliary and allows to improve the protective properties of the main coating and give it good aesthetic qualities. Polyester has various colors and is usually applied only on one side to a sheet with a thickness of at least 0.45 mm.
Matte Polyester. Here, in addition to excellent additional protective and design properties, there is also increased durability - the original matte color lasts much longer than gloss.
Purex. This coverage is already the brainchild of innovative technologies patented by the Finnish company Ruukki. If you use a professional flooring covered with Purex, the guarantee until the end of its service life is 100% guaranteed.
Plastisol. As one of the derivatives of the now ubiquitous material - polyvinyl chloride, in a simple way, PVC. This coating is not afraid of any frost.

Thirdly, the color of the covering sheet profiled. This characteristic is already directly dependent on the coverage. To say that the color scheme is great is to say nothing, it is simply boundless, from simply brilliant zinc to imitation wood and marble.

Fourth, the width of the sheeting for the fence. Manufacturers have not developed a single standard for this characteristic, but it usually ranges from 1.1 meters to 2.

Fifth, sheeting heightwhen it comes to using it for fences. This characteristic can also "float" strongly from different manufacturers. It is usually not difficult to find a sheet for a fence 2 meters high.

It is very important to accurately calculate the entire structure and select all components for the fence of corrugated flooring.

Sixth, the profile geometry. Actually, this wave, which travels along the entire length of the material being presented, gives the name to the material itself. There are a lot of types of these “waves”, but, as far as geometry is concerned, usually the “wave” height is from 5 to 20 cm, its size is from 8 to 15 cm, and the span between waves is from 8 to 20 cm.

Seventh, one or two sided profile. This refers to the nature of the coating - on the one hand or two.

Performance of work

This material is attractive because the process of performing all the works is not difficult and consists of the following:

First, a concrete foundation is prepared for the fence. A very desirable element of the entire structure, but not at all mandatory. If you still decide on this capital approach, then take into account the depth of soil freezing and the need to install columns in the liquid concrete. At the same time, a depth of up to 1.5 meters is recommended for the posts, and up to 70 cm for a trench between them.

The foundation for fencing

Installation of the main columns. Usually used metal with diameters from 40 to 100 mm. But the use of metal pillars makes it necessary in the future to use welding for fastening sheets. Therefore, we highly recommend to pay attention to the wooden posts - they allow you to do only with screws. The pitch between the columns will largely determine the reliability of the whole structure - choose 2.5 meters, which is usually enough.

Reliable fixation of pillars - strong fence

After the columns we begin the installation of the transverse beams, which are also called veined. It is important not to be mistaken with the number of these beams. It is believed that if the height of the sheet of professional flooring is up to 1.5 meters, then two beams are enough, if more than 1.5, then it is already necessary to fix it - 3.

When the frame is created, we begin to fix the sheets of corrugated board. Usually you can do for mounting and self-tapping screws. But in some situations, especially when attached to metal poles, it is impossible to avoid welding.

Direct fastening sheets.

As the final chord we use all sorts of decorative elements, both for the columns and for the top line of the sheet. The top level for a fence from a professional flooring here will approach as well as possible.

It is possible to “plant” profiled flooring directly on the ground, since it is always covered with anti-corrosion, but, nevertheless, it is more preferable to install a concrete parapet on a previously prepared concrete parapet with an obligatory treatment of a meter and a half of both the outer and inner territory

Helpful advice! If during the installation of a fence made of corrugated flooring you had to resort to welding, then a protective layer of the sheet under the influence of high temperature will certainly occur. In this situation, it is impossible to avoid the restoration of protection already manually - applying a special anti-corrosion coating, and preferably in several layers.

The use of wooden posts simplifies all the work even more - you are free from welding and the need for subsequent processing of sheets from corrosion

Some warnings

When working with a profiled sheet, you should avoid some points:

Do not use for cutting sheet Bulgarian. This tool will not allow smooth cutting, and most importantly, it gives sparks and strong serrations along the cutting line. Use only a hacksaw or scissors for metal.

See how brilliantly even a one-sided fence looks, using the usual galvanized sheeting - concrete parapet tiled, robust metal frame. It may be worth only to increase the number of horizontal bars by one.

If it comes to welding, do not forget that you are dealing with galvanized aluminum sheet, hence the special low-temperature gas welding. Remember that aluminum and zinc have a low melting point relative to other metals. Usually, when welding aluminum, not even flux is used.
