On the eve of winter there is a need to preserve heat in the apartment. This issue is particularly acute for owners of corner apartments in high-rise buildings and owners of private buildings. After all, these objects are subject to enhanced airflow and other external environmental factors that violate the comfort of living conditions.
One of the best solutions to this issue is to warm the facade of mineral wool with your own hands.
Minvat is heat-saving, waterproof, fireproof and sound-proof material. The advantages also include the fact that the mineral wool remains suitable even at a temperature of 700 degrees Celsius, and it is not of interest to mice and rats. Thanks to all these qualities, it is used quite widely.
However, it was not without drawbacks. Mineral wool in the course of operation releases substances unfavorable to the human body, however, according to research, their number is very small.
Note! Mineral wool for facade insulation is somewhat different from mineral wool for interior decoration. Facade mineral wool has a higher density, respectively, it is able to repel moisture better, in addition, it does not burn, that is, it meets all fire safety requirements. Stage 1. We remove all the excess from the surface, which we will warm. The facade should be smooth and clean, if possible it is worth removing all existing metal parts, as over time they begin to rust. Stage 4. Fasten mineral wool.
The technology of thermal insulation of facades with mineral wool provides for the installation of profiles to which the material will subsequently be attached. Front work is ready, glue too. Consider how to insulate the facade of mineral water. Apply glue to the sheet of insulation and saturate it thoroughly, paying attention to the edges and the middle. The amount of glue should not be minimal, but you should not water the sheet either. After the material is ready, put it on the wall. Hold the sheet until the glue grabs. In this procedure, the format "overexposed" can not be, the longer and stronger hold, the better. Making sure that this sheet is tightly glued, you can take to the next.
According to the technology of thermal insulation of the facade with mineral wool, the finished area is covered with a reinforced layer using a special spatula. This layer protects the insulation from thermal heating, which helps to maintain the original shape of the product for a long time. A special glue is applied to the mineral wool, then a reinforcing mesh is pressed into the glue and covered with a new layer of glue.
Stage 5. Final. We apply facade plaster on all the resulting construction. The plaster will not only give a presentable look to the facade of the building, but also protect the insulation itself from all kinds of damage.
Tips of installation
The procedure for fixing sheets of insulation does not tolerate shortcomings and errors. Any finishing stage should take place at a humidity that does not exceed 85%, which means that it is better to stop work in rain or fog, otherwise you risk exposing the material to deformation without securing it.
If the air temperature is approaching 30 degrees Celsius, the work will also have to be suspended, and the finished work area must be covered with thermal insulating material. In case of non-observance of the recommendation, when the mineral wool is heated, it will expand, and during a cold snap it will begin to shrink, which will lead to the appearance of cracks.
With large areas of finishing work stretched for a period. It is recommended at the end of each working day to provide insulation of the finished area. Often this is achieved by stretching the thick mesh onto the scaffolding that is erected around the perimeter of the facade. This is a necessary procedure, because even dust can cause significant damage to unprotected insulation.
Some important recommendations
