Having built a house, you need to give it a beautiful appearance. This can be done with the help of a variety of finishing materials. Among them are quite common (siding, plaster or facing brick), but there are more exotic. It is to the latter and can be attributed to Block House, although in recent times it is increasingly gaining popularity. And how to fix the Block House? What is needed for this, and what are the nuances? This will be discussed in this article.

What is a block house

Finished material

The block house is a finishing material that imitates wooden logs. Most often it is used for finishing exterior walls. In this case, the appearance of your home will be very attractive, similar to a log cabin. Although you can use the Block House and inside the house. Of course, in this case a reduced version is used (free space is saved in this way), but the attractiveness of the finish does not suffer from this.

Indoor blockhouse

Most often, the Block House is made of wood. It is ecologically clean and durable. But you can find a material made of metal or plastic. It is cheaper, but it will also look beautiful on the facade of your house.

Now let's figure out how to fix the Block House. Conventionally, all work can be divided into four phases:

  • preparing the walls of the house for the installation of panels;
  • installation of carrier batten;
  • preparation of panels House Block for installation;
  • directly mounting the material.

Let's look at each stage in more detail.

So the first thing to do is prepare the walls. Panels should be mounted on a dry and level surface. Therefore, all irregularities must be removed. If the walls are made of wood, then it is necessary to pre-treat areas with fungal lesions. For this, the place of mold growth is ground and treated with an antiseptic (and it is better to treat all wooden walls with it).

Facing the house

Since the panels will be installed outside, it is necessary to waterproof the walls. For this, water-repellent impregnation is used. It is able to prevent the penetration of moisture and the reproduction of bacteria and fungi in the space between the panels and the wall.

The next step will be the installation of the batten, it will be the panels of the House Block that will be fastened to it. The material of this design can be used wooden bars or metal profile (the latter is mainly used for metal panels). First you need to put a vapor barrier film. Then mounted vertical obreshetka. The step between the bars or the profile should not exceed 50 cm.

Note! If you are going to paint them after installing the panels, the spikes and grooves of the boards need to be processed prior to installation. In this case, the appearance of the facade will be much neater.

If you follow the instructions from the manufacturer House Block (and you should do it, because we mount the panels exactly as it is), then a layer of insulating material and waterproofing is placed on the crate. Then, on top of this "pie", the second crate is mounted. It is to her, with the help of screws, that the panels of the House Block will be fastened.

Now you should think about preparing the panels. Actually, this should start two days before installation. The block house is taken out on the street and kept there for two days. So he will acquire the temperature and humidity of the place where it will be installed. Of course, it is worth thinking about protecting the panels from the rain, he does not need excess moisture.

Klyaymery

There are several ways to mount panels:

  1. With the help of nails. This method is the most economical, but not the most aesthetic.
  2. With the use of screws. In this way, the panels are fastened most often.
  3. Using special brackets for Block House.
  4. Using clamps. This method is the most expensive, but with this place fasteners almost invisible.

Installation work must begin at the bottom. As a rule, boards are installed with a spike upwards. In this case, water will not get into the grooves of the connection. There is also a gap (both at the bottom and at the top) of at least 5 cm. This is necessary for ventilation of the internal space.

Small gaps (2 x 5 mm) should be left between the panels themselves. This is especially important if a wooden block house is used. As the temperature changes, the material may expand. If the boards fit closely, they will begin to warp and deform. This will significantly worsen the appearance of the facade of the house.
Special attention during installation should be paid to the inner and outer corners. Here the edges of the panels must be filed at an angle of 45 degrees so that the connections are neat. External corners can be decorated with two vertical slats.

The installation itself is quite fast. One person can cope with all the work, but if the panels are heavy (for example, from a thick tree), then it is better to attract an assistant. Especially extra hands will not interfere with facing the top of the walls.
