Among them, a special place is occupied by porcelain tiles, having many positive properties and advantages. You need to know that the decoration of the facade with porcelain tile has an aesthetic and protective function.

Ventilated facade design

Porcelain tile as a finishing material is when facing one of the structural elements of the ventilation façade. To understand what place this material occupies in the outer part of the facade, it is necessary to consider the structural features of the structure.

• Ceramogranite is the outer shell of a ventilated facade, the surface of which can be structural, smooth, or look like one of many natural stones.
• Next comes the membrane layer of a special material that is supposed to protect the surface of the walls. The membrane simply absorbs moisture.
• Next is the air gap, which plays the role of isolation, and, thanks to ventilation, the facade is ventilated.

• The structural layer closest to the wall is the lathing, which must be firmly fixed to the base in order to securely hold the entire weight of the ventilated facade.

Installing the facade of porcelain

To install a porcelain tile, you need to adhere to a certain scheme, according to which the work on facing the facade of the building with ceramic granite begins with the preparation of the surface of the walls.

• At the initial stage, the crate is installed. It is formed through the construction of the profile structure, the main pillars of which are fixed in a vertical position. When constructing such a system, the most practical is the use of steel elements with a galvanized surface. Constructive details are fixed to the surface of the wall strictly level.
• To determine the distance between the intermediate elements, it is necessary to know the dimensions of the porcelain stoneware plates.
• Fasteners, with the help of which there is a tiled installation, are divided into visible and invisible. The first are used in construction more often than the second. So that the mounting elements are not noticeable, they are usually painted with paint, which blends in color with ceramic granite.
• A significant role in the installation of the facade is played by elements called clamps. With the help of these mounting parts, products of different thickness are subject to high-quality fixation. Clamps, in turn, are also of two types. They can be starting and normal. Their location is tiled edges. The main cleats stand on the seams between the plates.

Hidden installation of the material occurs with the use of an adhesive mixture or fastenings of a special design. They are usually located on the sides of the slabs, which are turned towards the surfaces of the walls. Such mounts are known as agrafy.

Plinth finish option

Finishing the house, in particular the basement, porcelain stoneware carries two functions simultaneously. First, it is the protection of the outer surface of the building from the effects of natural phenomena. Secondly, a beautifully lined plinth brings aesthetic satisfaction, as it is part of the whole house. With ceramic granite, as with many other finishing elements, you need to work carefully. After all, if you do not follow certain installation rules, it will be impossible to achieve effective and efficient facing works.

Note! If porcelain stoneware is selected for the plinth finish, it can fully realize its benefits only in combination with other additional materials. First of all, this concerns products with hydro- and heat-insulating properties. 

• If you classify the facing materials into groups, then the porcelain stoneware is in many ways similar to ceramic tiles, but they are very different in terms of the principle of installation on the surface of the base.
• At installation of porcelain tile glue structures are not applied. They are replaced by special designs that are used only for the installation of porcelain stoneware plates.
• These constructions consist of a profile, the material for which is galvanized metal. The structural system is similar to that used for fixing sheets of drywall. The only difference is that the porcelain tiles are much more weighty than the sheets of drywall, therefore, the structural elements are very thick and long.

Installing granite on the basement

The installation of porcelain stoneware for finishing the basement begins with the installation of a frame that is attached to the wall using special parts that fix the structure.

Note! Between the distant planks and the surface of the wall must remain a certain distance, which will perform a protective function for the construction and insulation. In addition, air circulation will occur in the equipped space.

Then in the frame space fit the material with thermal insulation characteristics.

In conclusion, porcelain stoneware plates are attached to the structure. As already mentioned, the attachment can be made using a closed type of fixation, in which the fasteners are not visible, as they are under the plates. It is possible to use open type fasteners. In this case, the fasteners go outside. From a practical point of view, there is not much difference between the two options.

The choice of material and features of operation

To get information about the quality of the porcelain tile, you need to scratch it in an inconspicuous place with a sharp object. The angle of intersection of the notches should be about 60 ?. If an additional painting is not tracked in a rugged place, the tile is of high quality.

Ceramic granite is very easy to operate and maintain. Contamination of any degree can be removed in a short time. The material has sufficient strength, but even if any element is damaged, you can always quickly replace it.
