Decorative decoration of the facade of the house

Facade

The construction of modern housing cannot be considered fully completed until the exterior finish of all its walls has been made. At the same time, it is necessary to understand that the cladding of the facades of a building with the help of one or another finishing material is usually performed not only for decorative purposes.

At the same time, the finishing layer serves to protect the outer surface from the damaging effects of natural factors such as precipitation, solar radiation, or wind, which can destroy even the most durable concrete with time.

What can be revetted facade

There are several ways to decorate the facades of the house, using which you can give your home a rather attractive and modern look and, moreover, thoroughly protect it from all sorts of natural disasters.

When familiarizing with these methods, special attention should be paid to the cladding materials that determine the key features of the wall decoration of the buildings being erected. Nowadays, the following types of decorative lining of buildings are very popular:

  • front panels;
  • finishing plaster;
  • decorative tile (or stone).

In the subsequent sections of our article, all these types of surface finish of the facade will be discussed in more detail.

Facade panels

Facade panels

One of the most well-known finishing coatings used for cladding of buildings is considered to be facade panels, the basis for the manufacture of which can serve as the most modern materials. Using special decorative bases in panels (such as siding or aluminum composites, for example) will allow you to mimic the structure of most known natural materials.

Note that the facade panels provide reliable protection of the walls of buildings from mechanical and climatic influences; at the same time they are usually used as insulation. Another advantage of finishing the panels is the possibility of their quick installation (assembly on the basis of the designer).

Note also that products made of aluminum composites in private construction are rarely used; most often they are intended for cladding commercial buildings of a particular class. Photo decorative facade with siding panels shown above.

Facade plaster

The use of special plaster mixes for cladding facades can also be attributed to the most common methods of finishing. The particular attractiveness of this type of surface decoration is explained by the high versatility of all operations performed, as well as by the following distinctive characteristics:

  • No restrictions on color shade, since the surface covered with plaster can be painted practically in any color. In recent years, colored painting of stucco-faced facades has been increasingly practiced.
  • Low cost of the initial material made on the basis of a purchased decorative mix.
  • The possibility of self-applying decorative plaster.

Decorative plaster

Come on

In contrast, kameshkovye plaster mixtures do not have such a disadvantage, because when using them a practically even coating with a fine-grained pattern is formed. The order of preparation and application of plaster mixtures of any type is described in detail in one of the previously published articles.

Natural and artificial stone

A rock

Decorating with decorative stone is traditionally considered to be one of the most costly methods of cladding facades of buildings. Moreover, this is explained not only by the high cost of the material used for finishing, but also by quite significant labor costs. But, despite the high costs, many owners of their own homes prefer this method of lining to all we have considered earlier.

Nowadays, when finishing walls and facades of residential buildings, the so-called artificial stone is widely used, providing a noticeable gain in the cost of the source material. Immediately, we note that the domestic industry mastered the production of two types of artificial material; at the same time one of them is made on the basis of cement mixes, and the other has a plaster base.

Note! When choosing a particular type of cladding material, it is necessary to proceed from the quality of the surfaces of the walls to be finished. Stone cladding on a cement base is applied on hard substrates, while surfaces insulated with foam plastic are best covered with plaster-based artificial material.

Clinker Facade

Another way to design facades involves the use of a special clinker tile that imitates brick as a lining. Such a veneer, both in appearance and in basic technical characteristics, differs little from ordinary brick walls.

We should mention one more method of wall claddings associated with the use of multi-colored decorative tiles. Thanks to the use of multi-color finishing material you will be able to completely transform the facade of your house, giving its appearance a rather original and unique look.
