How to install the box
The so-called subviews are usually referred to as auxiliary elements of the electrical network system operated at most industrial and residential facilities. Products of this class are used for secure fixing of electrical accessories in niches in the wall prepared in advance for this purpose. A more detailed acquaintance with the technology of mounting, will allow you to independently install electrical products (sockets, in particular) in your apartment.
Installation Methods
Known methods of preparing recesses in the wall, intended for mounting plastic podozetniki in them, use the following techniques:
- Punching mounting holes in concrete, brick and aerated concrete structures, followed by fixation using pre-prepared gypsum mortar;
- Arrangement of niches in plasterboard, plywood and SML plates with fixing the body of the product using special spacer legs;
- The use of mounting pads of appropriate size, which serve as the basis for fixing a switch or socket (outdoor installation in houses with walls made of wood materials).
Regardless of the method of installation chosen by you, the arrangement of the arrangement of the footprint must begin with the marking of the niche under it.
Layout and arrangement of niches in concrete walls
Marking of places of fastening of sockets (height of their location) should be chosen taking into account the requirements of technical standards for electrical safety (ПУЭ), as well as features of the furniture arrangement in the apartment. The markup itself is reduced, as a rule, to drawing a mark at a selected height and delineating around this point a circle with a corresponding diameter.
Preparation of installation niches in walls of concrete or brick can be done in one of the following ways:
- using a special volumetric drill (the so-called "crown"), the working diameter of which is selected based on the standard size;
- using a hammer drill with a pointy drill or perforator;
- with the involvement of the preparation of the opening "grinder".
Taking into account the fact that a typical under-plate has a diameter of 67 mm - you should prepare a crown with a size of about 70 mm. After that, using a hammer drill or a punch with a crown fixed in the chuck, a corresponding hole should be punched into the wall.
The depth of the hole to be prepared should be sufficient for the plastic case of the product to be completely recessed in the wall (with a margin of about 4 mm).
Accepting a niche preparation by drilling (using a perforator or a hammer drill) is reduced to punching holes along the marking diameter and to the subsequent cleaving of individual fragments of wall material with a chisel.
The use of the grinder significantly reduces the time spent on the preparation of the niche, but at the same time you will get the greatest dustiness of the room. When implementing this method, the marked-up ground is cut by the Bulgarian disk in different directions, after which the wall material is knocked out by a chisel to the calculated depth.
Completion holes and installation
After the niche is prepared - make sure that the plastic body of the product is placed in it without any difficulty.
Following this, the electrical cable that supplies power to the outlet, is inserted into the hole on the rear wall, and its case is inserted into the niche until it stops.
At the final stage of installation work, the installed sub-socket is fixed in the hole with the help of prepared plaster solution. After complete drying of the last case, the finished product case is cleaned of the remnants of gypsum and carefully wiped with a cloth.
Installation on plasterboard and wooden walls
Before fixing the podrozetnik on the wall of plasterboard, for example, you should prepare a hole in the material to fit the body of the product being installed, and then fix it using special spacer legs.
When installing in a private country house, a specially prepared plate made of textolite or thick multi-layer plywood is used as a floorboard, the dimensions of which should correspond to the dimensions of the product being installed (slightly exceed them). A similar method of installation is used, as a rule, when open wiring in buildings, the walls of which are made of timber or other wood materials.
