How to connect the dishwasher with your hands

Dishwashers are available in two versions:

• stationary.

For installation you will need tools and fixtures. Namely:

• ball valve;
• siphon;
• building level;
• pliers, knife;
• spanner (best adjustable);
• electric or hand drill with the right drill bits.

The first step is to connect the dishwasher to the sewer. For these purposes is the drainage hose that comes with the equipment. It ensures the discharge of dirty water and food debris from the machine. When connecting the drainage hose, you need to consider two nuances:

1. First, when connecting the hose to the siphon or tee, it is necessary to observe the slope in the direction of the latter. If the slope is in the direction of the dishwasher, the residual effluent will return to the machine and its functioning will be disrupted.
2. Secondly, (as mentioned above) the length of the hose should not exceed one and a half meters. Otherwise, the pump (which drains the dishwasher drains) will be overloaded. This will damage the entire unit.

After installing and connecting the drain hose, you can connect the dishwasher to the water supply. Everything will depend on the equipment model. If a water heating system is installed in it, then the connection is made only to the source of cold water. If such a function is not provided in the dishwasher, then it is necessary to additionally connect to the hot water supply.

Connection is made using flexible hoses. Also, some manufacturers recommend the use of copper pipes. But the latter option is rarely used because of its high cost and complexity of work.

In any case, it is desirable to provide for the installation of a deep cleaning filter. In this case, increases the efficiency of the dishwasher and its life.

A dishwasher, like most kitchen appliances, needs electricity. Do not connect the machine to the power supply through extension cords or tees. Best of all, if for the dishwasher will be carried out a separate wiring from the panel with a separate machine. If it is difficult to do it yourself, then the machine is simply plugged into a separate outlet. It is not allowed to feed from it other appliances, especially a refrigerator or electric stove.

• is it properly connected to the power supply (does the dishwasher work or not);
• how water is fed into the device and drained from there (whether the hose is bent or not blocked);
• the absence of leaks both at the connection with the water supply system and at the place where the drainage hose is connected to the sewer;
• is there a desired slope of the drain hose and does it not exceed the recommended length of one and a half meters.

Only after checking all these points, you can begin to seal all technological holes and restore order in the kitchen.

And finally, some recommendations on the operation of the dishwasher. If you comply with them, then your equipment will last much longer. So:

• Before placing dishes in the apparatus with it you need to remove large leftover food. Also, pans and pots better pre-soak.
• To make washing more efficient, properly position the dishes inside the machine. For each type of dishes there is a place.
• To save time and energy, heavily soiled dishes should be prepared. If there is a lot of fat on the plate, hold it for a few seconds under a stream of hot water. In this case, the dishwasher quickly cope with the task.
• Follow the recommendations from the manufacturer and do not wash everything. So in the dishwasher can not be washed, so leave with dirty dishes sponge or rag is not worth it.
