Advantages of laminate doors

This design has a number of advantages, which attract the consumer:

• Conservation of natural resources - the door leaf filling is not made of first-class finished wood, but from wood waste;
• MDF laminated doors have a low price and this is important;
• MDF laminated doors are almost impossible to damage and scratch. - if the door leaf is made of two-lamination laminate or high-quality PVC film, then it resists mechanical stress well. Negative sides of laminate doors

This design has its drawbacks, which must be studied before purchasing:

• The same design of laminated doors - since these doors are designed for a wide range of consumers, and they are produced in large quantities, there is no reason to talk about diversity. But now they began to produce a more diverse interior door design, anyone can choose products to your taste. • The mechanical strength of the door is not high - this is because it is light. Since the door has a honeycomb filler, it is not very strong and, if it is acted upon with force, for example, to hit it with a heavy object or foot, it can be broken through. Laminated door will be stronger if it is made of chipboard and durable frame. But then the weight of the laminated door will increase;
• Laminated MDF doors are not environmentally friendly products - despite the fact that manufacturers of laminated interior doors assure the consumer that their products are environmentally friendly, this is not at all the case. Doors made from natural materials are of course more environmentally friendly than from artificial ones. The internal content of laminate doors in most cases is treated with all sorts of impregnations, so during operation chemical evaporates will be emitted from it into the air, and this is despite the fact that the door leaf is tightly and under pressure covered with laminate, but evaporation can be released from under the holes pens and locks. Laminated film is also made of a chemical material. But any other doors made of natural material are also varnished, which is chemistry;
• Doors cannot be repaired - many experienced craftsmen argue that laminated interior doors are very difficult to repair. After the repair, traces of the impact of the tool remain on them, and no matter how hard the master tries, it is impossible to repair the door without a trace. Therefore, laminated doors cannot be repaired;
• The laminated coating can swell and crack - the film itself cannot crack, but cracks may appear in the joints of the laminate. Also on the surface of the door leaf can form air bubbles, that is, peel off the film coating;
• Putting laminated doors is not prestigious.

 Types of laminate flooring

To date, there are two types of laminate coatings: biluminal laminate and melamine paper.

Melamine paper has existed for a long time, it is popular because it has a thickness of 0.2 mm. Products covered with this type of material look like natural wood.

Attention: This material has its drawbacks: if the surface is damaged, cracks can form, it is difficult to wash it, there are difficulties in gluing the material and door leaf. Therefore you should not install them in utility rooms.

Relatively new technology - dvuhromylaminatin. When this coating was applied to the surface of the doors, the performance of the product was greatly improved, the resistance of the surfaces to mechanical stress increased and the aesthetic characteristics became higher.

The thickness of the film ranges from 0.4-0.8 mm. This type of product today is more often used in the manufacture of interior laminated doors.

Double-laminated laminate doors, their dignity

The door laminated cloth durable and strong:

• The doors are very resistant to mechanical damage, they are almost impossible to scratch, they wash well. True, their price is higher than the standard, but the quality is at the height.
• Laminate tolerates moisture and temperature drops, so they are indispensable in the bathroom, where it is constantly wet.
• Laminated doors have a low price, so they can be supplied by making an economy class repair.
• Just take care of them, they are unpretentious during operation;
• Have good fire characteristics;
• Long retain the original appearance;
• Installation is done entirely by hand and therefore the price will be lower;
• Have the big range of a decorative film;
• Have good water repellency;
• Well resist mechanical damage and temperature extremes.
