Doors gost 6629 88: woodwork for residential premises

Doors

Traditionally, the doors inside the premises are made of wood or of materials based on it. There are, of course, options of glass and plastic, but in standard apartments their use is usually limited to a balcony. Doors GOST 6629 88, DG21-9 - this is the most popular carpentry, but they can look completely different.

Appearance, as well as price, depends on the material of manufacture, design and design. The undoubted advantage of wood is the ease of its processing - respectively, if desired, the door can be made and decorated independently. To cope with this task will help the video in this article.

Wooden door features

By and large, interior doors GOST 6629 88, are divided into two main groups. In one there are doors, all the structural elements of which are completely made of wood, in the other - versions of wood materials, which can either be combined or completely replace wood.

Why do we need such a replacement?

  • Initially, this was done for the sake of cheaper products, but the quality and appearance were not at the same level. However, with the advent of MDF, the situation has changed radically: carpentry products have become cheaper not at the expense of quality. As for the appearance, with modern technologies of decoration, you can even decorate plywood beautifully.
  • The tree has one drawback: most of the species used in the door industry are hygroscopic. Surely, many people noticed that as soon as the heating was turned off, the door leaf seemed to increase in size - the doors begin to close and creak poorly.
  • The problem with the swelling of a wooden door does not indicate a low quality of the product, but is caused by an uncomfortable indoor microclimate. And the tree is equally badly affected: both high humidity and excessive dryness of the air. With a strong drying, the panel or tsargs filling the canvas may shrink so that stripes of undyed material become visible.
Classic style interior doors

Tip! If you decide to make a door leaf with your own hands, keep in mind that to compensate for temperature expansions, small gaps should be left between the parts. And in general, the greater the number of parts assembled canvas, the less the door will be subject to deformation vibrations.

In MDF (see MDF laminated doors: whether to take) in this regard, there are even advantages: its density is comparable to that of larch or some tropical woods. In addition, this material almost does not absorb moisture - that is why not only room doors, but also entrance doors are made from it.

Solid wood doors

The feature of solid wood doors is that they have all the elements made of solid natural wood. The popularity of such products is only increasing, because the wooden doors are incredibly aesthetic. At the same time, aesthetics is achieved not due to the veneer or laminate glued on top, but due to the natural wood pattern, as well as all sorts of milling options.

In addition, wooden doors serve for a very long time, and it is easier to update them than any others. However, the fact that everyone likes them does not mean that everyone puts them.

The reason is quite clear and simple: doors made of solid wood are very expensive and in most cases are premium products. Below you can see some of the most interesting options.

In general, the duration of the service life of doors from an array depends not only on the natural properties of a particular breed. It is very important that all technological cycles are strictly observed in production, effective adhesive compositions and varnishes are used.

In the struggle for reputation and recognizable brand, many manufacturers use their logo as a sign of quality, putting it on the seam of the door leaf. Those who cannot afford wooden doors from eminent manufacturers should know that there are alternatives.

What is a re-glue array

Most often, door leaves are made from the so-called re-glued array. This is a modern technology, the essence of which is to obtain a plate material not from industrial waste, but from high-quality lumber. It is obtained by gluing together well-dried bars - gluing them under pressure, which provides almost solid joints.

  • To ensure the deformation stability of the array, the bars are selected so that the direction of the wood fibers in the layers was different. The connection patterns of the bars may also be different, as each manufacturer is looking for an option that will provide the products with the highest strength characteristics.
  • In the manufacture of doors, from the re-glued array can be performed as all elements, as well as individual parts. For example, deaf doors GOST 6629 * 88, often do this: glued wood goes only on the trim, and the inside of the canvas is filled with MDF panels.
  • With the help of re-gluing technology, you can create lumber of any thickness and width. Of course, the production does not glue separately the material for each door, but use ready-made furniture panels or carpentry boards.
  • By and large, this is one and the same thing - the only difference is that the carpentry board is more often lined with peeled veneer or thin plywood, which is very clearly seen in the photo. Because of this lining, the surface of the bars is still not visible, so there are not too high requirements for their gluing together.
  • But in the production of furniture panels, the bars are selected both in shade and by annual rings. It is made from more expensive wood: oak, maple, walnut, cherry, beech. Used mainly for the manufacture of furniture - hence the name.

Note! Joiner's slab is made of cheaper wood: spruce, pine, poplar, birch, so for the manufacture of doors often use it. It should be noted that of all existing wood-based panel materials, carpentry board has the greatest strength.

GOST 6629 * 88: doors for rooms

It can be made and strapping fabric, and its filling. But best of all carpentry plate is suitable for the manufacture of panel door. In fact, you only need to cut the format of the canvas, veneer it with veneer or laminate, or mount the door panels on top - and that's it.

MDF is an alternative to a tree

The glued massif is also wood, though not solid, but still natural. Accordingly, the woodwork made from it, too, can not be called cheap. To reduce the cost of products, and fit into the framework of the economy class, the doors for this price category are made using MDF.

So:

  • This material has its advantages - it has already been said about them, and we will not repeat it. Most often, the door block and the frame of the leaf are made of solid or laminated wood, and the MDF is allowed to fill both the inner and outer.
  • In principle, if you glue the door with veneer, what's the difference what will be under it? It makes sense to use an array only when there is nothing on the face of it except for the stain or paint, and the original texture of the wood is involved in the design of the product. Otherwise, MDF will make an excellent substitute.
  • It is especially convenient for the manufacture of filler panels, the thickness of which may exceed the thickness of the canvas itself. In the door industry, slabs with a thickness of 30-60 mm are used, whereas a wide board with such parameters, from which it would be possible to make panels, is hardly to be found.

And also, door panels are made of MDF - lining (see Door MDF panels for cladding), which are installed not only on wooden, but also on metal doors. They can be made so beautiful milling design that even the old door will turn into a masterpiece of carpentry art. Not only canvases are made of this material, but also door frames, trim plates, and even sandriks.

Modern doors made of wood materials are not inferior to models from an array of neither performance, nor on aesthetics and service life. Plus, they are less responsive to moisture fluctuations, and much cheaper. Their cost also varies, but it depends mainly on the option of facial coverage.

Types of interior doors

Doors for residential premises are divided into types depending on the option of filling canvases. Everyone knows that there are glazed doors, and there are deaf ones - types “O” and “G”.

There is also a type "K", to which the swinging canvas with glazing. The fourth option is indicated by the letter "Y". Under it hide the doors that are installed at the entrance to the apartment - their canvases always have a solid filling.

GOST 6629 88 doors: glazed and deaf canvases

Deaf and glazed models can be either single- or double-sided, with equal or unequal widths in the canvases. Swing doors should be only two-floor, apartment entrance - only single-floor. The dimensions of all types correspond to the dimensions indicated in the standard referred to in this article.

Design and decoration of paintings

Despite the external diversity of wooden interior doors, there are two main design options: a canvas-shield and a frame with a filling. A door with a panel board is always deaf - the frame can be both deaf and glazed. Moreover, the glazing can be both partial and over the entire area of the frame.

Mirror filling in wooden harness

So:

  • Cloths of deaf doors can be smooth, have a profiled exterior panel, or be recruited from mullions and panels. Their front surface can be complemented by decorative panels, various veneer combinations, profiling edging, inlay, various types of glass, and even mirrors.
  • The last option is quite unexpected: on the one hand there is a mirror panel, and on the other, deaf canvas. A similar example is presented above. As for the glazing, there is an unusual variety. It may have not only a rectangular or arched shape, but also be oval, round, slit.
  • Glazing can be purely decorative, or aimed at enhancing the insolation of rooms. For this purpose, glazed transoms can be installed above the doors. Glasses are used not only transparent or matte. They can be made or decorated by any technology - up to the use of stained glass.

Several different glazing options

The dimensions of the glass on the door leafs vary: from a small window or gap, to the full area of the door frame.

You can see several interesting glazing options in the table below:

Glazing option Brief explanation
Narrow vertical inserts Most of this canvas is occupied by a blank insert, which is separated from the trim by narrow glass inserts along the entire height.
Narrow horizontal inserts It is also a frame canvas in which the middle pieces (tsargs) are installed with gaps filled with glass.
Narrow diagonal inserts Diagonal insertion of the mediators, also forming glazed gaps.
Glass replaces large panel Curved inserts on the canvas: deaf and glass panel.
Multiple square inserts The combination of horizontal and vertical mullions with squares of glass.
Short vertical inserts Another version of the alternation of deaf inserts with glass: vertical glazing, separated by horizontal centers.

The smaller the glazing area of the canvas, the safer it is - especially when there are small children in the house. Most of the options from the table above are great even for children's rooms. Glazed doors are usually sold without glass, and are completed separately.

Therefore, for security purposes, you can give preference to tempered glass, which, upon impact, crumble into granules, but not cut, or triplex, which is only covered with a grid of cracks. Put them after the installation of the door, and we think that for this most people, no instruction is required.

Room doors according to GOST 6629 * 88, most often have a frame construction. At the same time, the canvas is not solid, as in a panel door, but is a frame filled with mumps and decorative inserts.

Having available the qualitative material, the necessary tool, and golden hands, many of models can be made independently. But that's another story.
