Where and how is concrete crumb and other building materials
In the construction industry, recycling is often used, with which it is possible to create new materials. For example, when concrete waste, in particular, concrete aggregate is combined with foam waste, light and warm concrete is obtained with completely different properties. The article will describe other types of recyclable materials that can be used in construction.

Types of construction waste
Concrete chip
This material is also called secondary rubble and is obtained by crushing old concrete structures and structures, as well as when dismantling old roads. For its production crushing machines are used - exactly those that are operated in quarries for the extraction of stone. The most common unassorted chip, a fraction of which varies from 0-70 mm.
He found use for:
- arrangement of the bases for the bases of various buildings and constructions;
- in the manufacture of reinforced concrete;
- for the device of the basis of asphalt concrete roads of any classes.
Often used as a material for the creation (dumping) of temporary nature or filling for parking lots and platforms that will be paved. The main advantage of this material is its low price, which is half the cost of granite derivatives.

Concrete battle
As for this recycled material, this type of building material is the result of the crushing of concrete pieces and debris, which resulted in the demolition of unsuitable industrial and residential buildings or the processing of reinforced concrete products.
Grinding takes place with the help of a hydraulic hammer, then the mass is cleaned from the reinforcement. After these simple manipulations, a concrete battle of various factions appears, which can be attributed to the cheapest materials.

Secondary crushed stone can be obtained at the crushing and screening stations. At the same time, the quality of the material produced in this way is much higher than its higher cost.
Getting a concrete fight in this way is a difficult and rather expensive process:
- At the first stage, the processing of fragments of concrete is carried out using hydraulic shears, cleaning from the reinforcement and grinding to the state of large fractions is performed.
- The field of production of fractionated concrete, it is sent to the processing at the crushing and sorting station, carry out cleaning and sort the resulting mass by the method of separation.
Tip: use concrete battle when you need to fill up water, large ravines, ditches, swamps or pits.

Asphalt chip and fight
The appearance of the asphalt chip is the result of the work on the removal of the old asphalt concrete pavement with the use of jackhammers. Asphalt aggregate differs from it in a finer structure, since it is produced by milling an old coating.
Mainly used as a material for backfilling pits, ditches, trenches. It can also be used as a pavement base, which is performed using the latter. At the same time, the cost of asphalt chips will be higher by 10-15%.
The technology is based on the combination of softened using a special paver asphalt chips with a substrate of asphalt cleavage. The roadway made by this method is of high quality.
Tip: the main feature of the work, the implementation of which is used asphalt chip, is their seasonality, namely - their conduct exclusively during the summer period.
An asphalt battle is obtained after crushing asphalt boulders, which have already served their time and have lost their operational qualities. Crush it with special crushing plants, then cleaned and sorted.
The instruction recommends its use when it is necessary to pour temporary roads, build access roads, equip paved roads in the territories of garden cooperatives or in the countryside, as well as in the production of concrete.
Marble chips
This name is not quite correct and is an unprofessional generalization of 4 possible derivatives, obtained as waste from the extraction of marble, or through the processing of low-quality marble slabs that are unsuitable for use in construction.

After crushing and sorting according to the size of the fraction, the following materials are obtained from the feedstock:
- Marble crushed stone is a mass, the size of which pieces usually fluctuate in the range from 5 to 20 mm (sometimes crushed stone up to 70 mm in size can be found).
- Ground marble - has a size of crumbs from 2.5 to 5 mm.
- Marble flour - it is even smaller: 0-2.5 mm.
- Marble dust - as the name implies, the particle size is negligible (almost 0 mm).
The color of marble chips (including natural) is very diverse and is determined by the type of soil and the nature of the minerals accompanying marble. Baby can be white, pink, gray, black and even red. If this color variety is not enough, they introduce dyes, which makes the set of color solutions truly unlimited.

Lightweight concrete and their purpose
The material has less weight, so the main purpose of its application:
- the creation of structures with light weight;
- filling cavities;
- warming
Along with providing a smaller load on the floor, they are characterized by the inability to withstand heavy loads. Concrete with foam chips is much lower than the price of concrete in which crushed stone is present.
It is even higher at the claydite, due to the high cost of expanded clay material. In the form of inexpensive solutions to the problem should be noted aerated concrete and foam concrete.

Lightweight concrete and their fillers
As porous fillers are used:
- baby foam;
- polystyrene baby;
- keramzit;
- perlite.
They can be attributed to the standard, obtained by special production.
Proportions of concrete with foam chips for making a rough composition with your own hands:
- Prepare 40-50 liters of small foam chips.
- Connect it in a concrete mixer with 20 liters of sand, 10 liters of cement (M-500) and 10 liters of water.
- Mix thoroughly for 5 minutes.
Another type of filler is the material obtained as a side effect of production. We are talking about the waste of the metallurgical industry, which has sufficient strength indicators to become an integral part of concrete, and has a lower weight in comparison with rubble.
This is foamed slag obtained during the processing of ore, which occurs under the influence of high temperatures and is accompanied by the extraction of the mineral component. Foamed, cooled and hardened material is widely used in the production of concrete in countries where granite deposits are rare.
The process of slag formation is similar to the production of expanded clay, when the clay is heated, which leads to its foaming, is cooled, then calcined in a kiln to increase strength. The finished material is used in the production of expanded clay. (See also the article Fiber for Concrete: Features.)

To obtain lightweight concrete, you should carefully select the raw materials to ensure the normal future installation of the solution. The filler is able to absorb all the water, which causes the mixture to dry out, and this already affects the quality of mobility and fluidity.
Conclusion
It became clear from the article that it is not worth throwing out secondary building materials, since it can become a quite suitable component for another material. Using foam and concrete chips, it is possible to create mixtures that have slightly different properties. The video in this article will help you find additional information on this topic.
