What are concrete fences
The fence is of great importance not only in the private sector, but also at industrial facilities, in road transport and in other spheres of human activity, therefore, reinforced concrete fencing plates are so in demand in our time.
Of course, reinforced concrete structures are beneficial in that they have excellent strength and long service life, besides, there is an opportunity to diversify the appearance of concrete slabs and use different methods of their installation. We will try to tell you about the different types of concrete products that are used for this purpose and how they are mounted, and in addition, you will see a demonstration of the thematic video in this article.

Fence
Variety of reinforced concrete structures for fencing

- In order to block the carriageway or close the entrance somewhere, concrete bollards are often used, which may have different shapes and different masses, and sometimes such barriers are made in the form of a flower bed - the upper part of the block is molded like a bowl, where ground is poured for planting of plants. Such constructions can be done by yourself without special expenses if you need to somehow block the entrance to the house and office or arrange a parking place, especially since you can arrange a flower garden at the same time with such an improvised fence. The foundation is not needed here - this is an independent fence.

- In some cases, RC columns can be used for the supporting fence frame and for other barriers, and, as road reinforced concrete barriers, they are used quite often.. But if in the usual manner such a reinforced concrete structure has smooth sides and a square section, then for fences their design can be quite diverse - you can see some of the examples in the top photo.

- Prefabricated reinforced concrete structures for fencing various objects are made of heavy concrete and consist of vertical slabs and blocks for a columnar foundation.. Conditions for the installation of reinforced concrete structures of this type should be the absence of permafrost, seismic zone no more than 6 points, the location of groundwater below the bottom and the presence of a non-obese (stable) soil.

- In addition, if the condition of the soil allows (non-rocky, stable soils) or there is a hard coating (asphalt, concrete) at the installation site, then it is possible to use separate fencing, as in the photo above. We will not give them special attention right now, as they will be discussed below.

The configuration and size of self-reinforced concrete structures

In order to install a reinforced concrete structure, the instruction provides for a solid and even base, which is usually made of sand and crushed stone (gravel), falling asleep these materials in the form of a pillow under the sole of the slab.
To do this, dig a shallow trench or, if the soil is sufficiently compacted and stable, then it is planned with a bulldozer knife. In any case, such an improvised foundation should be wider than the base, at least 20-30 cm in each direction.
The sand layer should be at least 5 cm, and if the fraction of rubble is large, then even more so - this allows the stones to immediately acquire the final position and in future such a pillow will not sink. In any case, crushed stone for a concrete product must be somewhat higher than the ground level so that the base is not silted with runoff from rain and melting snow.
Note. To save yourself from a variety of bulk materials, instead of sand and rubble, you can use granite screenings, which also make an excellent pillow.

The average weight of one stand-alone panel has about 2 tons, therefore, manually installing such a fence would be too difficult, although possible, but it’s better to use a truck crane with sufficient boom reach. It should be borne in mind that SNiP 12-03-2001 allows you to perform lifting work at power lines with a voltage of up to 1 kW, no closer than one and a half meters.
If the voltage exceeds 1 kW, then you need to maintain a distance of 2 m, from 35 to 110 kW - 4 m, from 750 kW - 11 m.
Note. When installing fences of this nature, it is sometimes necessary to cut reinforced concrete with diamond circles and / or diamond drilling holes in concrete. Such a modification is quite possible, but this requires the presence of special cutting wheels and drills.
Conclusion
Installation of reinforced concrete structures for fences today is perhaps the most reliable in terms of the quality of the material, despite the fact that such boards have a high enough price and need special equipment for installation. In addition, such panels can be reused, that is, they can be dismantled in one place and installed where necessary.
