There are several types of crushed stone used to obtain a particular type of concrete:
- Crushed gravel. It is used for the production of concrete brand M400 or below. It is extracted from sedimentary rocks. It is widely used in road and solid construction.
- Granite rubble. It is made by crushing by press machines under the high pressure of granite rock. It is used in the field of monolithic construction as a material for filling hollow pockets.
- Crushed stone slag. It is used as a material for the organization of repair work on the roadway.

- Limestone. The basis of limestone gravel includes calcite mineral, obtained by crushing sedimentary rock. The strength characteristics of this gravel are low due to which the price of the material is low. It is used in the manufacture of reinforced concrete structures.
- Another type of material is recycled. Obtained by crushing such materials as used brick, road construction materials, namely, asphalt. The use of this material for the production of high-quality brand of concrete is not possible due to the low strength characteristics of the aggregate. The cost is relatively low.
