House sets from a bar - advantages and disadvantages
Decided to build a house with your own hands and do not know where to start? Start with the purchase of a building designer, which can be quickly and easily assembled at your country site.
Ask if it is possible? It is possible - just order and buy a laminated timber house set!
Domokomplekty - put the house together
These kits, in fact, represent the individual parts of your future home. You just need to put these components together. So, let's try to understand what are the advantages and disadvantages of such kits, in comparison with the traditionally erected log houses (see also the article House sets from a profiled bar: problems of choice).

Benefits
- ease of delivery;
- storage convenience;
- speed of assembly;
- guaranteed quality results;
- motivated cost.
disadvantages
- higher price in comparison with the usual bar.
Let us dwell on the shortcomings - whether they are. The higher price of the kit, in comparison with a bar, should not be considered in isolation from the cost of construction. Given the time and labor required for the construction of the house, the cost of the finished kit does not seem excessive.
Why we choose laminated timber kits
Continuing the theme of the benefits that demonstrate the laminated timber house sets, it is necessary to note the following points.
- High quality surface. Glued laminated timber is made from knot-free and other wood defects. The tree that is glued together in a timber is matched in color and in texture. As a result, your purchased domokomplekt will be characterized by impeccable appearance.

- Compliance with technological standards. The domokomplekt from a bar is made from material with degree of humidity, not exceeding 12%. Thus, you can be sure that the elements used in the construction of your home will last a long time without cracking or deforming.

- The constancy of the geometric dimensions. Ready-made kits made of laminated veneer lumber retain their original shape and size for a long time.
Due to the lack of internal stress, the elements that make up the domokomplekt, not twisted and not bent. Again, the time required for shrinkage is negligible, which allows in a short time to proceed with the installation of windows and doors.
- Seismic resistance. Thanks to the use of glued laminated timber as the main building material, house-sets are distinguished by seismic resistance, which other construction objects built using wood cannot demonstrate.
According to the experimental studies of the house, built with the use of cant kits, on average, 50% stronger than other wooden buildings. The reason for this reliability lies in the multilayer structure of glued laminated timber.
- Biological and fire safety. House sets, as in the photo below, are manufactured industrially in strict accordance with the requirements of technological standards. Because they are processed flame retardants and antiseptics.
As a result, such houses are resistant to rotting and the appearance of fungus and other harmful microorganisms. Moreover, the treatment with fire retardants reduces the flammability of the timber by an order of magnitude and, as a result, the housing kit.

How are houses built from wall kits?
Saving of time and building materials
When ordering these items, you do not receive them immediately, as they are made to order and less often according to a standard design. During the time production is being carried out and instructions are being drawn up, the customer has the opportunity to prepare the construction site. Preparation consists in leveling the soil and arranging the foundation (see also the article Domokomplekt of double timber - new developments in the field of construction).
Important: according to statistics, the time required to lay the strip foundation is just enough for your future home to be manufactured and delivered in a disassembled condition.
As a rule, no more than 2 months passes from the moment of ordering to readiness at home, which you will agree a little. Building a building site is carried out with minimal use of special equipment. This results in an additional advantage if there are not enough access roads to the site.
Choosing a wall set of laminated veneer lumber, you get a wooden house with a minimum amount of construction waste. Thus, you do not overpay for building materials and do not spend money on the removal of debris.
By the way, the construction of houses from ready-made wall kits is possible at any time of the year!
What are made of domokomplekty?
The basis of modern house sets is glued laminated timber made from coniferous wood (see also the article Glulam laminated timber from larch: practicality and environmental friendliness of your homes). This is the optimal solution, since coniferous wood is characterized by ecological safety. In the production of glued laminated timber, sawn timber with a small knot size and uniform color is used.

Preferably the purchase of wall kits made of pine. Pine has a higher density compared to the same spruce.
In addition, pine wood is a resinous material with a high content of essential oils and volatile production. Due to this, there will be no harmful microorganisms in the house.
Currently, in the manufacture of timber used environmentally friendly, not containing formaldehyde, adhesives. The finished timber is profiled on specialized woodworking equipment.

At the stage of production of sets, the excavation of wood from the grooves of the corner joints is performed automatically on industrial equipment. As a result, maximum connection accuracy is achieved, which cannot be guaranteed when self-treating the timber.
In the manufacture of home sets used timber with a moisture content of 12%. This is the best option, eliminating long-term shrinkage.
In order to preserve the humidity of the timber during storage and transportation, wall kits are packed in plastic wrap. As a result, it is possible not only to maintain the optimum humidity, but also to save wood from pollution.
Depending on the manufacturer, the kit comes with freewheeling beams, rafters and logs, floor or decking, crates, etc.
