The order of operations is as follows:

1. we select a blank of suitable size and shape, the wood should not have cracks, deep damage, knots and the like;
2. install it in the receiving device of the machine and carefully fasten it in strict accordance with the instructions for use;
3. we start the engine and with the help of a cutter we give the billet a cylindrical shape;

1. as chips are removed, we measure the diameter with a caliper;

3. remove the finished product from the machine and repeat all the steps for the next workpiece.

The use of dowels in the construction of walls of timber

The procedure for performing the assembly of houses is determined by technology.

Installation of dowels in the beam is as follows:

1. marks of fastening points are put on the lower part, their number and the distance between them is calculated according to the normative documentation;
2. the holes under the dowels should be located strictly along the centerline of the timber and be perpendicular to its outer surface;
3. a drill with a drill is used for drilling, while working it should be held with two hands, and the body position should be stable;
4. optimal use of the tool with a special nozzle, which provides the required position in relation to the timber, this will significantly speed up the work;

The assembly of the profiled bar on the nagel is carried out as follows:

1. Connecting elements are inserted into the holes drilled in advance, and fastened with a wooden hammer - a mallet;
2. together with the assistant, the next prepared detail is lifted by the edges and turned over with holes down;
3. having aligned the holes with the dowels, the bar is put on them and is upset against the stop.

Helpful advice! When performing such an operation as the assembly of the beam on the dowel, it is difficult to achieve alignment of the holes with fasteners. Simplifying the action will help attracting another assistant, who will direct the beam with great accuracy. To reduce friction when performing assembly, experienced craftsmen use a soap solution.

Reliable fastening of a bar with dowels, however, should have some degree of freedom. When wood dries, a change in shape and a decrease in volume are inevitable, as is thermal expansion when heated. The material is left with some degree of freedom to compensate for the change in linear dimensions.
