Bar-shaped house with their own hands: the main stages of
Before you build a lumber house with your own hands, you need to get acquainted with the main stages of work. For the self-built construction of a wooden house, you will need minimal joinery skills, powerful tools - a saw that runs on gasoline or electricity, a plane, a hammer, a drill.
The reliability of the construction is directly dependent on the quality of the material. It is preferable to choose profiled or glued softwood beams - pine or larch. In industrial conditions, they were already fully prepared for laying, all the necessary grooves are propylene. It remains only to choose the method of corner joints.

Site preparation and foundation construction

Any construction begins with leveling the site where the foundation will be established. The territory is freed from turf, stones and compacted.
The trench is necessarily dug out and the fertile layer is removed. Assembling a log house with their own hands is carried out on a strip foundation or a monolithic slab.
The choice depends on the mobility of the soil and its composition. The plate is more suitable for soft soils prone to erosion.
Shallow-foot foundations are simpler and less costly. For mixing concrete, you can rent special equipment.
Instructions for the construction of the foundation for a wooden house:
- a mixture of stones and sand is poured into the excavated trench and compacted;
- formwork of unedged boards is installed on the walls;
- a reinforcing mesh of 2-3 rows is necessarily formed, the corners are held together for strength;
- further prepared concrete is poured. It can be bought or kneaded on the spot;
- the foundation should be established 7-14 days and only after that the construction continues.
If the house is built in wet areas, then roofing material is rolled out on the inner surface of the formwork.
Laying the first crown

First of all, the concrete is covered with a waterproofing layer - first it is coated with molten bitumen, then the ruberoid is rolled out. The reliability of the construction of the first crown will depend on the stability of the structure.
If preference was given to the construction of the log house “without residue”, then the corner joint of the first row should be “in half tree”. When one of the timber sawed off the upper part, and the other lower.
At this stage it is important to protect the base of the house from rotting. All blanks are coated with antiseptic in 2-3 layers.
Bars carefully tailored to each other. Before starting work it is necessary to prepare wooden dowels for connecting the elements of the building.
They must be made of the same wood species as timber. Holes for them are made in the blanks in advance at a distance of 120-150 cm.
Formation of the base and bearing walls

After the formation of the first row, you should proceed to laying the base for the internal walls and floor. For floor beams, timber is taken of the same section as for the construction of the log house: 150 * 150 mm, 150 * 100 mm, 200 * 150 mm.
Inset is made directly into the crown by the method "dovetail". This stiffens the frame and prevents rot. The beams are stacked in increments of 40 cm so that the floor does not bend during operation.
Wall construction

The preparatory work is finished, and it is time to proceed to the construction of the bearing walls of the house. Manufacturers produce a timber with a length of 6 m, if the wall is supposed to be larger, then the blanks should be spliced. This is done directly in the process of laying.

Note! The bars of the crowns must not be allowed to touch each other. Between the rows must be laid insulation: tow, moss, rolled jute. This not only prevents blowing, but also prevents rotting.
In the process of laying crowns, it is important to check their level of flatness with the help of level. A sledgehammer is used to correct the curvature. All crowns, starting with the second, fit the same.
Fixing rows:
- an angular connection is made using the “root spike” method;
- insulation is laid;
- fits the next row;
- Pins are driven into 1/3 of the depth of the previous beam (2-3 rows can be joined at once).

Bar-shaped houses with their own hands are built relatively quickly - 1-2 months and the frame is ready. Where functional openings are assumed, the bar is mounted with ventilation holes, marking is necessarily made. But you can cut out only after shrinkage at home, after 6-12 months.
Roof frame mounting

The last two crowns are not fixed. They are removed before the construction of the roof and mount the ceiling beams.
If the attic is residential, then the cross-section of the timber should be 150 * 200 mm. They are laid in increments of 90-110 cm.
The construction of a log house with their hands ends with a roof frame device.
Its components are:
- gable - the end of the house, driven out of the bar;
- rafters - inclined boards, forming the basis of the roof with a cross section of 150 * 150 mm and a step up to 120 cm;
- Mauerlat - thick timber around the perimeter of the house, provides strength;
- strut and stand - provide additional strength to the frame.
On the rafter mounted crate made of boards 1.2-2 cm thick and about 15 cm wide. The price depends on the amount of spent building material. The more of it, the more reliable the construction, but also more expensive.
Conclusion

Construction of log houses - the easiest way to get your own country housing. It is quite cheap and fast, but the frame made of wood must pass through the stage of shrinkage. But if you purchased a profiled or glued laminated timber, dried in a steam chamber, then you can not wait for a long time and immediately proceed to further finishing the house (read also the article Glued laminated timber and profiled timber - the differences and nuances when choosing).
